Fall Window Display
Every season we keep interest alive by sewing new creations for the public to see and to create enough interest so that passersby might be motivated enough to come in and take a sewing class. These outfits are usually clothes that are shown in our sewing class schedule.
Some patterns have been classics for us, like the bomber jacket (Simplicity Pattern 8418). You have to see how we upgraded the jacket with pink stripped ribbing and paired the jacket with a black pant, pink vertical ribbon strip, and pink stripped ribbing on gathered pant hems.
I love the simple 3-piece outfit shown in Vogue Pattern V1705. The fabrics are Fall colors and give off a bohemian vibe. I may try to do this pattern again in swanky party fabrics for the holidays.
Not shown in the class schedule but nevertheless, I wanted to show this dress pattern, Vogue 1565. I have to admit, this dress has taken a lot of work to finish. Some of the sewing instructions were really confusing so I took matters in my own hand, while Kamry Brown made the necessary changes to get the dress finished.
Finally, a similar type of moto jacket will be on display as well that Kamry patterned and made out of leather. In a previous class schedule a similar jacket was shown and one student made it. A similar McCall’s Pattern 8121 could be substituted.
In a few days, I will show you on Facebook all four garments described above. Or if you like, drop by the store to see them in person.
